Cesc will have qualified as he came at about 16 I think. Mayenda might be borderline but I think he might just miss out on homegrown status.
We do need to be careful, and of course the club will be. Going into this season there is around 12 that qualify I think. Some of them will be away. I posted some analysis a couple of days ago about it. If Neil goes our 8 becomes hard to find, or rather we have 1 or 2 in the 25 that really are fillers. Not too bad due to the number of u21s we have.

A lot going on, but a lot needed to. I too would have liked to see a couple more "English" lads brought in. Then, today Ben Doak is said to be going to Liverpool for £25m! He looked canny at Boro mind, but he has barely had a game for Liverpool, had an injury, and isn't 20 yet.
English tax if ever it existed that. Abringa had played fifty plus PL games, scored a dozen goals, is not a lot older and cost £5m less. I'd have liked to see Doak here actually, though I know he is Scottish, but the " tax" thing I think also applies to an assumed familiarity with the game here, the language etc.
But, £25m?

I can see loads of corners given in the first two weeks and it’ll be forgotten about after the 1st international break. Just like the 10/15 min worth of stoppage time after the World Cup
Would love Elliott but looking at the prices for Hutchinson and Doak, he would cost a fortune
