If this is true, the mags will now have an extremely unhappy player on their hands who they are paying a reported £150,000 a week doing nowt and when it comes down to agreeing to selling him probably won't get the approx £120 million at least that they think he's worth.. Oh well :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yep. An unholy mess or an unholy outfit!

He is a belter of a player, but clubs watch how they spend now. Even the big clubs now do not normally spend whopping amounts on players over say 25. Isak will be 26 in September. This is the summer to sell big, but I honestly think that if they have let this out then they are going to try and keep this deeply unhappy bunny at the club.

The only time he really is right now is when he goes out on a limb like this regarding them. He is meant to be a Northern football writer for the Telegraph, but he is absolutely all in on the Saudis now. He does get news from them. If he has put this out, they want it out.

Isak is staying.

Sounds to me like Newcastle have asked for him to put this out for a reason.

It puts Isak on the spot and pushes Liverpool into action ...

... if the player refuses Newcastle can turn round and say they had no choice.,

At the moment is looks 100% that Newcastle are being played and they won't like that.

Either way it's absolutely hilarious how badly everything is going for them <laugh>

Mate it’s been something like 2 years since he’s been right
Well I read the Telegraph. And I can tell you that he has put stuff in there that has been bang on. But only about them, no one else.

We'll see. A happy, horrible mess though!

As funny as this is turning out it is absolutely their right to do that. The twat has 3 years left on the contract he was happy to sign at the time it was offered.

I understand the point that he is now a depreciating asset but ultimately they are the richest club in the world I'm sure they can live with that.

Yep. The right thing to do is put him in the stiffs, or get him to offer a public mea culpa.

There aren't any good outcomes here in the short term for the Saudis, but they can stick it to Isak in their long term interests.

Litmus test for the Saudis.

Fair play to them for not giving into player power. Doubt we’ll see much of Isak this season though if he feels he’s been cheated out of a verbal promise.

Accepting a verbal promise from a bunch of Saudis is likely to end with a bonesaw ...

... but they're happy to chase the money and take the risks.
