Having Seelt or Huggins in our starting 11 on the opening game of the season is a glaring weakness that I would expect to be targeted by the opposition.
I'm delighted with the business the club has done so far and I don't blame them for not getting a centre back in yet.
It doesn't change my opinion though, that we need one urgently and it could cost us points early in the season not to have at least one new one in place.

I think they're set on Lucemi being the top target and it's just taking a little longer than they planned.

Newcastle are one of the richest clubs on the planet but can't get players to come just because they snap their fingers ...

Why are they a glaring weakness, Huggins is a quality player, Seelt has look decent aswell when he's been fit
Huggins far too overhyped mind. What has he done to make him a quality player?
Hes nearly 25 and played less than 30 league games in his career. And hes been injured for about 18 month
he would be coming up against bowen on the opening day who is a real quality player. Would worry me tbh
The big driving force behind me wanting a CB is RLB flat out saying he wants defenders signed. I trust him so I trust what he wants.
I don't hold too much stock in Brad constantly saying we're close to a centre back. My 6 year old daughter could have guessed that.
They weren't even first choice last year mate. We'd be going into the Premier League with a weaker defence than we had in the Championship.
