Although I’ve heard good things I don’t think CB is a good place to have an 18 year old, especially the pressure we’ll be under this year.

Lucumi and diakite would be the dream, I’m sure the club know that CB has been the most important position since the beginning and have set aside a big portion of the budget towards it. They would probably cost over £60 mil together but it would be money well spent imo.
Looked like they were pretty firm on the €40m asking price which I'm guessing put us off

Both Diakite and Lucumi had firm asking prices so I reckon we're playing a game of chicken on both to see if the price comes down.
The problem on both counts however is they would likely be willing to play chicken until deep into August and our need is now. So we may need to cough up and pay more.

Calmest I’ve been about our recruitment ever especially with how links can come from nowhere at any time but I am getting a little twitchy on the centre halves, think aslong as one is in by mid next week they should be fine for West Ham provided they’ve had a pre season

Well things are so bad that all three of them are out injured
Seen a lot of other fans saying we haven’t signed proven PL players and all this balls. For 1) which established PL players are going to leave to come to us and 2) the reality is when we’re looking at the next level below of players we could potentially attract who’ve played at this, £100m gets you Harvey Elliot and Tyler Dibling.
The comment was supposed to be counter intuitive but I guess I misjudged the deadly serious nature of the thread
