Depends where hes gone to. If its somewhere like ibiza then he will not be resting his knee knowing him

The club are clearly keeping cards close to their chest with injuries (Patto, Rigg, Isidor) and rightfully so as any bad news could hamper negotiations for other players if we’re perceived more desperate

There’s a section of our fanbase who seem to be using that void to speculate, and in some instances insinuate there’s more going on. If I’m wrong, then I’m wrong, but this whole thing feels like another instance of the “I know more than you and there’s dark forces at play” narrative because there’s literally nothing else to use to project these views at given how successful the summer has been

People putting 2 + 2 together and getting 7. Players have previously been declared as "injured" in the past before moving on, then you have the rumours about his "social habits", not helped by how much weight he put on last season, so rumours start. Then social media propagates it, it doesn't matter how often gets denied because someone will re repeat it so it'll bubble away for a while until it's clearly proved wrong. Plus you never know how much if it is done purely out of malice.

Watching the friendlies doesn't give much away because we're clearly avoiding any set plays, corner routines, etc.

It does seem players have appeared in strange positions, such as Diarra at Hearts, so we could see some tactics purely suited to a particular game.

You'd think we'd have a different set up depending on whether it's Liverpool away or Wolves at home so I think we'll be in for a few surprises.

I think the manager will stick to the system the squad is built for and he believes in. 4-3-3 which is adaptable to 4-4-2 at certain moments.

I didn't really want to discuss anything regarding Patto as it is just bollocks. I know no one on the footballing side of things but I can usually ask a few people if there's anything serious or naughty happening with the local footballers. I had an ask about and no one had heard anything so I'd be really surprised if there's an ounce of anything to it and I was quite annoyed to hear it getting reported as the gospel truth by knackers sitting behind me in the stadium yesterday. Obviously if there was anything to the allegations then I wouldn't actually be able to say. Believe or disbelieve me as you like.

Same mate. There is a relevance in the fact that we may be talking about whether he stays or goes but the personal details are up to him and the club. It feels like what you said - gossip column ****e.

Patience will be needed, no doubt about it. And not just for the lads who got us up. Most of the new lads have no experience of the PL either. It's a very tough league.
