The truth, as often is the case, is somewhere in the middle imo. Got to respect and look after the players who have done so well for us. Alongside, we need to strengthen the squad like never before. It’s rarely dull supporting the lads and this off season is taking some keeping up with.

I agree, that's exactly what I was aiming for tbh mate.

I simply believe you can either trust the club or not, simple as that.

When I see people saying the club should be signing another keeper, more full backs, more centre backs and better strikers I totally agree ...

... but that's for 'Football Manager', not reality.

There has to be a balance, as you've said, we can't just ditch players, like Hume and Ballard, because we don't believe they can step up.

We all know a bit about football but, hopefully, nowhere near as much as the club ...

... if RLB decides Roberts or Huggins is starting against West Ham I'll reserve every bit of criticism until the end of the match.

You only have to look back at the playoffs, some were horrified that Mepham would be left out when they expected it to be either O'Nien and Ballard ...

... turned out to be exactly the right decision, as was fielding Watson at Wembley.

I was right about Mepham, wrong about Watson.

I’d have him in just for his smile<laugh>
Met him after the Blackburn game was a lovely bloke but even before that it was obvious how good he was got unlucky with some keepers just making great saves then he picked up a injury he came back and we were getting ready for the playoffs, he scores a great goal in the playoffs by making a great run on the shoulder of the last defender which for the majority of the season wasn’t seen by players not named Enzo quick enough but now with the higher quality of players in the midfield he will feast.

Not too sure about that. He seems to be well set to get in the Dortmund midfield. I would say he would have been a regular for us had he stayed, and we maybe dont sign a Diarra or a Sadiki. Easy to forget how good he is I think, in amongst the excitement of new players.

not knocking him

le fee, diarra and xhaka, he doesnt get in for me

but his potential is sky high and thats the point i suppose

I don't think the club are guilty of decimating the squad, like some people are intimating. The management have probably surprised a few of us with the amount of potential starters that we have signed, but we will still retain a lot of last seasons identity.

Watson and Jobe wanted to move on, Neil and Cirkin have not committed themselves to the club by signing the new contracts that they have been offered and Mepham was only on loan.

It looks like Aleksic and Abdullahi are joining Matty Young and possibly Seelt and Harrison Jones in going out on loan to get valuable experience. Most people would agree that Ba, Pembele, Rusyn and Hemir were not good enough for this squad and the least said about Poveda, the better.

The futures of Patterson, Moore, Hjelde, Roberts and Browne are unclear, but I fully expect Alese, Hume, Huggins, Ballard, O'Nien, Ballard, Rigg, Mundle, Mayenda, Isidor and Le Fee (thats 11) to be a good part of this seasons squad. Currently, 7 players have been added to these and I would expect 4-5 more to form a solid 23.

The club is getting the balance spot on, imo.

Pretty much spot on there, I reckon ...

Tiktok fan accounts running with the Patto rumour that’s he’s not injured
Just went to look there someone’s bumped into him in the airport with his girlfriend. Posted a picture they took together

the club let him go on holiday for a week to try help the knee injury so it all adds up

None of our players from last season had any experience of the Premier league but we will have to be patient with some of them as it may take a few games for them to get up to speed with the pace and quality of the league. I hope supporters don’t get on their backs as they go through this period of adjustment. As mentioned, playing alongside better players will help them tremendously and give them confidence and we as supporters need to play our part in that as well

Remember when Mundle got injured but people couldn’t accept that so had to claim he had stormed home in a huff and was joining PSV because the club had signed a left winger.

The same bullshit now appearing about Patterson but more sinister. He’s injured, needs a knee op. Give him a break with the bullshit.
Literally the lads on tiktok commenting saying the club aren’t letting him train because of the rumours so I’ve called out the spread of lies

they sent him on holiday!
