From what I've seen this Dutch lad will be first choice.....it'll be up to Patto to make up the ground. You wonder if we have signed this kid as a number 2, but capable to step up. Means we could now flog patto and try and sign a number 1 (with the risk that the Dutch lads plays in the interim)
Nope, there’s a bit of common knowledge when it comes to Patterson. Nothing more really needs to be said
It was a joke about calling the poster a pisshead mate, I think we all heard about the alleged drinking issue of Patto.Nope, there’s a bit of common knowledge when it comes to Patterson. Nothing more really needs to be said
He was yesterdayhopefully get Marc Guiu confirmed too today
The way things are going it seems very possible at the end of the window we will be putting out a first 11, none of who were ‘our’ players when we got promoted.
Ballard, Hume and Mayenda/Wilson are the only ones currently first 11 but we’re looking for 2 x CB, a striker and probably another RB.
Le Fee didn’t become ours until after we got promoted.
Seems a bit unfair but we will have a great subs bench.
That reputation does kinda **** us if we go down though.
Been the ‘saleable asset’ that’s made the most sense for a while and I don’t mind Patto personally would like to see how he reacts to competition but feel he could be off especially if Neil goes, they’re very close
And there we have it, 10am the next morning and it’s announced.we must have the most impatient fanbase going when it comes to announcing players.
“has the keeper died”
“there must be an issue”
“Cancel kyril’s credit card”
just wait until it’s announced ffs
I have said a few times that our best chance of survival is if we completely upgrade the entire team, except for Le FeeThe way things are going it seems very possible at the end of the window we will be putting out a first 11, none of who were ‘our’ players when we got promoted.

We needed to hit the ground running and we’ve done that at a ten fold.We signed 10 players in the summer after promotion from L1 and then another 4 in the January. The amount of business we are doing can't be a surprise to people.
Weve brought in about £45 million on sales (£50 including ekwah)I guess the only counter to that is that getting a sub keeper in of a reasonable standard for a minimal amount can be tough - and you can’t get any cheaper than free! But given the size of our PSR number this coming season, we could certainly do with getting some decent money coming in the other direction.
And he needs to be played deeper. It’s why I think Guiu is a good signing. Le Fee needs to be close to the other two midfield lads picking pockets then breaking not competing against centre backs with his back to goal but neither Mayenda or Isidor are made for a more isolated role.I have said a few times that our best chance of survival is if we completely upgrade the entire team, except for Le Fee
Well, this is Sunderland and we might still be sweating, but I agree the recruitment has been outstanding so far. If we dare to dream that we can get a top, strong, pacy CB in in the next few days,I would be delighted with our squad. We needed to hit the ground running and we’ve done that at a ten fold.
the recruitment team deserve a huge pat on the back, we only need 2 cbs and a bit more depth and we’re done and it’s only the 1st August.
usually we’re sweating a bit before we kick a ball and are praying for late breakthroughs.
Signings are not a simple case of 'b' follows 'a' and 'c' follows 'b'. We have "irons in the fire", it may take time to get them "over the line", but it doesn't mean we're not prioritising them.
Huh, why what's gone on now. That's that with patto now. My personal preference is he is sold, if possible.
Must be keeping the cottage open, dont know anyone else who drinks in there and I live 10 minute walk away.He is slimmer now. Been grafting with a private PT and is in shape. Unfortunately, some of his habbits still not in keeping with a PL footballer. I'll say no more.
