The way things are going it seems very possible at the end of the window we will be putting out a first 11, none of who were ‘our’ players when we got promoted. Ballard, Hume and Mayenda/Wilson are the only ones currently first 11 but we’re looking for 2 x CB, a striker and probably another RB. Le Fee didn’t become ours until after we got promoted. Seems a bit unfair but we will have a great subs bench.
He grabs things out of the air! He'll do for me. Didn't Copley already do a report saying Patto wants to fight for his spot? Not sure why we would sell him given you get bugger all for a keeper especially since they'll know he's second choice.
I guess the only counter to that is that getting a sub keeper in of a reasonable standard for a minimal amount can be tough - and you can’t get any cheaper than free! But given the size of our PSR number this coming season, we could certainly do with getting some decent money coming in the other direction.
My view on balance is, wow what a save at Wembley that shows what he can do. He has made some really top drawer saves. He made the whole stadium nervous for much of last season. He definitely played from the back but not confidently and it affected our play. He isn’t a great reader of crosses and needs to be more dominant. He also failed to look after his diet and physique for a third of last season and looked like a 1970’s player. He’s blown it for himself with that last bit.
He is slimmer now. Been grafting with a private PT and is in shape. Unfortunately, some of his habbits still not in keeping with a PL footballer. I'll say no more.
You wonder if we have signed this kid as a number 2, but capable to step up. Means we could now flog patto and try and sign a number 1 (with the risk that the Dutch lads plays in the interim)
Been the ‘saleable asset’ that’s made the most sense for a while and I don’t mind Patto personally would like to see how he reacts to competition but feel he could be off especially if Neil goes, they’re very close
I like him. He’s confident and assured about his game. The Dutch have a good history of producing quality, hopefully he’s the next big one coming out of there. The Roef, the Roef, the Roef is on fire
Nope, there’s a bit of common knowledge when it comes to Patterson. Nothing more really needs to be said
