Wonder why he featured against South Shields then, or did that just aggravate the issue maybes?

Updated squad. Adding in those injured at the start of the season and also those likely going to AFCON. Removed the first choice etc to avoid arguments / confusion.

GK
2 CBs
CM if neil leaves
Winger (preferably left footed)
ST

For me left to get. I wouldn’t be against a RB either to be honest but isn’t priority

⚪️ EXCLUSIVE: Granit Xhaka to Sunderland, here we go! Deal agreed between all parties involved.

Understand fee will be €20m, contract until 2027.

Green light from Bayer Leverkusen for the player to fly today and complete his move to [HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG], one more ambitious signing.
Oh my giddy aunt

We have take-off

Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the
***** ****** what could have been man.

Makes you believe in fate. That last minute kick in the bollocks at Wembley probably saved the club from disaster.

The world moves in mysterious ways.

If we hadn’t had Fulwell 73 devise the Netflix series, we’d probably have been passed around a succession of chancers like a Benwell lass at a house party.

We need to be grateful to Fulwell ‘73,

It’s worse than a person dying for me, personally. With people you see them from time to time and go through periods of not seeing them at all but a dog is by your side, all of the time. You’re out walking with them, feeding them, caring for them when they’re poorly, playing with them, sitting cuddling them. All of that builds a close bond that when it goes, you’re lost and don’t know what to do with yourself, apart from the obvious heartbreak you have to go through.

You make such a bond with them, like you said, it’s hard to explain to people who aren’t animal lovers.

Humans don’t give you the reciprocal love, loyalty and honesty you get from a dog. Amazing beings so they are.
Great post marra

Yeah dont disagree still light in depth if the departures pan out as expected

Chevalier to PSG is a really strange one, surely not going as no. 2 but will never be no. 1 unless Donnarumma is off - But who could afford him? Man Utd?

He may not get loads of info etc. compared to some of the bigger journalists, but I always think he comes across great whenever he’s interviewed or does videos.
He can be a bit populist, but I guess that goes with being a general sports journalist. Defo leads people to write stuff that confirms the biases of the average fan a lot of the time. Will always read and watch his stuff though. He’s definitely a good voice on the club.

I understand the concern, but I wouldn't dread it. Imo,a CB and a striker are priority now, with a slight caveat over Mundle. I think Mundle was on his way, hence our deal with Lauriente, which was paused owing to Mundle's injury. Not sure what will happen there now. Not saying we shouldn't look to improve the goalie position, but you can say that about every position, and goalies often improve when they have a more solid defence in front of them.
Agree we need a forward and at least 1 centre back for the start but I am concerned if Patto dosent make it and we have to rely on Moore then again the lad could prove me way wrong

I'd put money on Amad jumping at the chance to come here and there'll be others like him.

As things develop it'll become slightly easier to get people in, the really hard work has just been done imo..
I think if he hadn't signed that contract last autumn you'd surely be right. But he was flying, they were keen to get him signed up, and they usually pay crazy cash.

But nowt wrong with a dream....
