They'll need to get the balance right, lots of talent but not sure how they'll all compliment each other
I doubt they'll be particularly concerned tbh

They'll need to get the balance right, lots of talent but not sure how they'll all compliment each other

Completely agree. I think they wanted to do early work in the market and have done. They got the low hanging fruit in the ones that were young with no PL experience or could be got on favourable PFR terms. The window hasn't closed yet, you've no idea what team we'll be putting out tbf ...
... but I wouldn't say our signings are just young, hungry and for the future.
Most have PL or experience in European competition.
surely Isak will be first choice if he joins LiverpoolThey'll need to get the balance right, lots of talent but not sure how they'll all compliment each other
Without going into it much more. With Neil. This wasn’t a one time thing, I felt all of last season the midfield felt unbalanced, very slow tempo.
Then when these new lads came in, the first 3 games, the midfield looked so fluid, fast, and night and day from last season. Then when Hearts came a long and Neil was back in that 3, the tempo looked exactly the same as last season to me, slow, couldn’t build up well and we just kept knocking it about doing nothing.
Sadiki came back on and we instantly tried that one touch passing and quick movement again.
to me that was showing me a pattern and a common denominator. That’s why I’ve been so vocal about it. I think Neil’s playstyle doesn’t suit a Regis le Bris fast counter attacking team
He’d be the main man through the middle, no doubtsurely Isak will be first choice if he joins Liverpool
I think you’re spot on. RLB said that pre game he told the lads this will be different to Portugal, it will be a team full of energy that will go direct and we have to be ready. The lads didn’t adjust imo and we have to take our medicine and give credit to Hearts.See i looked at Saturday and saw a team that tried to keep hold of the ball to take the sting out of how Hearts would play. It was a chance to see how we looked trying to keep the ball against a fitter team.
We will need at some point this season to try and keep possession, to try and stay solid in our shape and composed defensively. Its didnt work, bit is showed the coaches areas we need to improve.

They have got European experience but non have got PL experience. The difficult thing will be getting those in and at the right price too. Lots of time left in the window so it’s not all doom and gloom but that experience thing is vital for us whilst keeping the make up of a young hungry team.

Sort of forgot how mad some of these fees were.
Salah is 33 now, I was expecting him to regress but he was absolutely incredible last season! It’ll be interesting to see how Liverpool cope when he finally does ease off.Funny one with Liverpool because they are approaching a bit of a transition period with salah, van dijk and Allison closer to the end of their careers. Think they’re trying to get ahead of that but with isak they’ll be tough to stop like and I’d be delighted for him not to play for the mags. Hopefully they waste the money they get because it will be a key month coming up for them for how they get on in the next few years.
Don't think so but dont quote meCoutinho was more than that wasn't he?
Kepa fee was absolutely insane. Just had to be Chelsea who paid that sort of moneyYou must log in or register to see images

Would you have Areola here?
I wouldn't, hes a bog standard keeper
Edit. Not getting into this again. My OPINION is that areola is nothing special, I wouldn't want him here and Moore could possibly do a job for 1 game.
Wish I hadn't posted now

have to say when i first took notice of him (mainly down to the name and me still immature) i thought he had the look of a very good keeper, probably still is, but after he moved he seemed to lose a lot from his performances and he never looked as good to me.
'early' areola would be a no brainer. recent areola i would not be happy swapping him with patto so we appear to share a similar opinion.
Get a cheeky bid in for Issak, he's not as good as Mayenda though and Moore is a good goalkeeper.
