Why would we get a update, we won't get anything unless the deal is done

We may get updates along the lines of "second bid made" etc. This is a higher profile deal so news may leak more than others.

And to your point directly, we will definitely get some sort of news before it's "done". Even in this window everything has leaked before its signed.

I find it too difficult to work out which fake updates are more reliable than the next tbh ...

... you know it's gone too far when people are basing their judgement on the amount of followers some bloke in his shed has <laugh>

If it sounds like good news it’s gospel if it’s sounds bad it’s horseshit, that happy little bubble has kept me sane all window :emoticon-0102-bigsm

From OTR -

I've seen Xhaka play since his debut at Basel at 17, then his years at Gladbach, then Arsenal, and finally Leverkusen. A lot of matches and also clips, and all the matches of the Swiss team. He played mostly in double 6 and in 8. It all depends on the coach, the system and the players around him. I preferred him as a No. 8, because then, more advanced, he could also score goals with his great shots or free kicks. At Leverkusen, while being a double 6, he played a little further back than the other No. 6, with all the construction of the game on his behalf. A sort of advanced libero. Given his game intelligence, we even had him play No. 10 and full-back (Arsenal), but that has its limits and destabilized him a lot. In short, the coach can play him as a 6 or 8, depending on his ideas, and even as a libero in front of the defense. One thing is sure : he's a tireless diesel engine, and no worries about his age: last season, he was again the player who ran the most in the Bundesliga!

Sounds good, but if we can’t agree a fee it’s all in vain.

If it's good news it's believeable but if it's s**t news then it's definitely fake - that's my take on it
