Newcastle really fumbled this window so ****ing badly it’s hilarious.

off the back of a trophy and champions league qualification they **** around tire kicking without a sporting director, get rejected by pretty much every major target then manage to piss off their best player who happens to be one of the best strikers on earth.

If they’re really as good as I think they’ll also be considering how to ‘bury bad news’ and allow players to leave during other signings, kit launches, etc.

Obviously, with modern media, leaks, agents, etc, it’s difficult to announce new players out of the blue but I think they're doing a pretty good job of it.

I've seen a few clandestine photos of work inside the stadium, etc, but, apart from that, I’ve never heard a squeak of inside info for months …

… and I quite like it tbh.

It’s definitely a psychological thing. Look how excited everyone gets on here when some positive transfer news comes through with players we’re linked to. KLD tips off Fabrizio today to trigger a couple of “Here We Go’s!” followed by the kit launch tomorrow. Everyone heads down to the club shop tomorrow buoyed by the feel good factor and positive news and hand over their money without a second thought. Our PR team aren’t daft are they?!! Side note - if that did happen today I will not be proclaiming myself to be some kind of Oracle!! <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I still think Liverpool will come back in later on, once Diaz and Nunez have gone, that'll generate enough to fund another bid for him and keep them within PSR.

Yep i saw that, be raging if he went there - hopefully we are all over that if it's possible

Not sure if we would have money for him, lucumi, Diakite and Xhaka - then still need a CF and GK
