He can only show commitment if the club are doing the same. There has to be alignment on both sides and clearly there isnt. I have no idea whether Neil is asking for too much, or the club are offering too low. Maybe it is none of those things and one or other parties want to part ways for differing reasons. Maybe Regis has decided he isnt good enough, maybe Dan has decided he would like to play overseas. Nobody knows, so guessing as to it being on Dan isnt a fair reflection on a lad who has been immaculate in his behaviour toward the club for so long.

I think the minimum Dan Neil deserves is the opportunity to prove himself. I suspect he's more than capable of doing it. He's up against better competition than he'll have been up against so far in his short career. Good players thrive on that. Let's see. I think he'll be fine.
You know more than me then mate. I wouldnt offer him £60k or whatever it was reported Le Fee was on. No offence intended, but I am never too convinced when folk claim to know specifics of contracts etc.
One thing I do believe is that football clubs will pay more to purchased players than home grown ones. We now have the double whammy of purchases getting 5 year contracts as well. Is is like Bobby Robson said, to be a rich manager you need to get sacked a lot. With players now you get rich by moving a lot it seems. Lee Fee must be rolling in it he has had that many tfrs
His agent certainly will be.Dan has never struck me as a money chaser. But that is only my opinion from afar. He strikes me as someone who has just loved playing for us. Seems like his time is up and I wish him well. We can be certain a buying club will give him a better deal than we will, that is the nature of modern football it seems. Not a criticism of SAFC, just how I see it, fair play to everyone.

Not going to say what I know and where from and I didnt say a figure but maybe he thinks what you do. I want what these lot are getting. We can’t pay him more than he is worth and to me it isn’t equality with two unbelievably talented midfielders. Sounds like I want rid and I don’t. I want him to sign and learn but I think he’ll need to learn the prem game before he starts. If Dan is on 25k could pallet 30k for Neil.
He’s been underpaid for years I’d hate to think that was club taking advantage of his roots.
He’s had the offer there a while I know but he should have had a rise to a Championship level deal day one after promotion from L1
