I mean everyone seems certain it's Lauriente but I'd also be a tad surprised. Think they're training right up in the north east (but might have mistaken it for bologna).

yeh I mean Rome is a 4 hour drive south of Sassuolo so it would strike me as odd to be Lauriente.

weird for us to call out Newcastle fans for thinking it’s for them when it’s probably not for us either…

There is however a 9am flight down to Rome from the tiny airport up there.

Works pretty well time wise to then fly across to Newcastle - and we also know not to bother looking for flights to Faro.
There u go then

The moment we were promoted I accepted things would change forever and things would get serious quickly.

Players we'd admired and who we believed were here for years are suddenly 'drifting away'.

Others who we'd thought would be 'good solid options', like Mepham look Championship standard.

Dan Neil was a shoo in but isn't even guaranteed a start against West Ham.

New coaches and serious scouting is going on round the clock, it seems, and you start to wonder how long Dodds and Proctor would've lasted.

Whatever the case there's nothing to do, it's all out of our hands and we can only sit back and see what happens.

I'm sure KLD is charming but he's not at Sunderland to trust the players, who've helped us to promotion, and keep his fingers crossed ...

... the club has just hit a significant new notch with a big clang and we'll all just have to get used to it.
I've mentioned a couple of times how much things have changed since the end of last season.
There were a few players we were worried we'd lose unless we were promoted.
Neil, Mundle, Cirkin, patterson, Hume.
We were promoted but because of how unbelievable our recruitment has been its more likely we could lose these players because they need to look elsewhere to get game time.
We sold Jobe for a record transfer yet had he stopped I'm not sure he would have been nailed on starting.
I don't think any of us genuinely believed we would have recruited the way we have.
I think it shows how well the model has been planned out. We heard so many times how KLD needed to invest in certain proven players to get us promoted. 3 of those signed for Sheff Utd, so that didn't work.
It has allowed us to spend the way we have so far to actually have a realistic chance of establishing ourselves in the PL.

You crucified someone earlier on the thread for apparently poor info
What makes yours cast iron ?
It’s not cast iron, I don’t get info often but when I do it’s usually right. Few on here can back me up for that.

the issue earlier wasn’t just the spreading of ITK. There’s more to it but I’m not getting into it.

Now we think Lauriente might be a Mundle replacement rather than a third striker does this bring getting a striker back on the table? Or a right winger? Surely not both?

I think we’ll sign a RW who can either play the 10 or play upfront. Likely a left footer and a loan imo though later in the window

we don’t necessarily need striker cover at this point.

2 CBs GK Midfielder of some sort needs doing first
