The product of the English League would fall off a cliff. We'd be a feeder league, and not just a feeder league to the Super League but to Saudi, MLS, Turkey and anyone else who pays the cash that wouldn't be available in the Premier League anymore.

As much as people thinking the "big 6" ****ing off is a good thing, it would ruin domestic football. If you take away the great institutions of English football like Liverpool and Man United, then you take away the essence of the league. The world doesn't want to watch Bournemouth v Norwich. Beating Fulham to a domestic trophy doesn't mean the same when the best are not in the competition.

The most likely scenario wouldn't actually be the big 6 leaving anyway. They'll form the Super League and still compete in the English pyramid.

There’d be a reset.
Then the TV money would go to the one watched more, which in this country would be the league.

‘Sky money’ is advertising revenue. That follows the viewers.

After initial interest nobody would want to watch the same games on repeat. The viewers would watch the league.

Saudi or whatever may financially back it, but once it stops being a cash cow they’d pull out.

There is nothing better than local rivalries and day to day banter and excitement.

A super league would be like the NFL, you can watch, you might even enjoy for a while, but when alls said and done you don’t really give a ****.

Football existed long before the big 6 came along and would do long after. There are 86 league clubs plus some in non league with a rich history and loyal fanbase.

That wont disappear just because the big 6 go off to horde more money.

If they form a.super league then the efl and pl need to grow a set and tell them they cant and wont be allowed to do both.

Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal are this countries most successful clubs. They are central to the history of football in this country. The league is diminished without them.

The clubs might exist but the quality will drop massively. Income would fall through the floor. Clubs won't be able to afford wages and transfer fees. They also won't be able to afford state of the art stadia and academies.

That might not bother you, but it will bother most, especially younger fans.

No but how he’s worded it to me and the “developing him for the PL” sounds to me we trust Patto to be number 1

also on the Xhaka stuff they want extraordinary offers. More clubs involved. I think we will move on
That’s just words in an article though, he is currently our number 1

Yes I get that I just think it seems like we are trying to big him up and with the lack of new links and talk of us making a U-Turn from Nixon I think it was. I wouldn’t be shocked to see us sign a backup maybe

I disagree you don’t target two major number ones and then just change your mind

in my opinion anyway, you could be right though

Football in its current state will collapse. You’re making a strong case for doing it tbh.
