We arent sure if hes our players or not

They had a fee agreed regardless of relegation. The runour is they are signing hjm to then sell him quickly for a profit so I suspect there's been some negotiation between the clubs about what % we might get

So we are not sure if he's our player or not but THEY are going to try and sell him for a profit? Cheeky! <laugh>

I'd be surprised if they sell him on for a profit mind. Surely whoever would want him would have them over a barrel?
Is it a case of we'll get our money when they get theirs?
Strange situation. I sense a court case on the horizon.

I'm thinking that link to Zambo-Anguissa won't go anywhere. I'm sure its true we made "direct approach to his agent" but that's only been leaked one way.

Also encouraging on Xhaka that another journalist reports it without anyone pouring cold water on the deal. I'd still like somebody to say he's interested mind!!
 
I know Transfermarkt isn't the bible but it's normally good. They still have Ekwah as a Sunderland player - maybe as the official confirmation from us or Saint-Étienne has been non-existent.

Well if fab is saying we’re working on it I think we’ve been given some positive words from xhakas side

but also there’s no mention of other clubs. Positive

Think if he was coming to us it would be done by now. I think he is waiting for better offer. Really hope I am wrong
 
It’s coming to the point whereby we need to either agree a contract with Dan Neil or sell him in my opinion. I don’t care if it’s the club or the player dragging their heels, it needs sorting.

You can’t have the captain going into a new season when there’s no clarity …

… and if he’s not going to be the captain we need to know who is.

If I had to make a choice it would be Le Fée without a doubt.

Completely agree with this. Except the choice of captain. I'd go for Hume probably, just. Although if Xhaka signs he'd be an obvious candidate. I don't normally like giving the captaincy to a new arrival but we did it with Cana.

Transfers can take weeks and Xhaka is in Rio, this one won't happen overnight.

He's also a calibre or player that will have other offers, so he has to consider his options.

Then there's the fact that Leverkusen seem to want anywhere from €15-20m and we've supposedly bid €10m.

A bit of patience is required with this one.

Unless we leaked Zambo-Anguissa story to put a bit of pressure on Xhaka to make a decision?

Yeah if Fener are serious you'd assume they have more money and europe to offer I guess

Then there the line about staying at Bayer - Is that just to hurry things along or is it that he still has 3 yrs on decent money

I’d have said Hume as he’s likely to play.

However, Enzo speaks French and English, knows what RLB wants, is clearly a tactician and Hume seems totally focussed on fullback his role. And, no offence, he’s incomprehensible when he’s being interviewed after a game <laugh>

Having a think I feel Sacha is probably just hedging his bets and covering all bases there

we know it’s going to be tough, Fabrizio mentioned no other clubs and that we’re working on it

maybe in line with what Sacha says we mentioned FZA to push it along a bit the media is a funny old game

we’re still in the mix so still confident
