Sacha was also correct with petrovic. We DID offer him that and he was contemplating it. Bournemouth then matched us

so maybe he’s waited a bit longer to release this news

both Xhaka and KLD are Swiss I believe?

Do we know if he's good enough defensively / off the ball to play that role and not be a passenger?

Wouldnt want fancy Khannouss personally. We have better already, and he isnt offering much for our money to be honest.

Xhaka just feels like a fit at Sunderland doesnt he. Another Cana type. Quality footballer as well, one I'd think would just click with the fans. Would be a surprise if we could get him, but I'd be buzzing with him for a couple of years. Proper proper leader too.

I'd be pleasantly surprised mind! Always liked him, even when he was getting a few pelters at Arsenal.

Reckon Xhaka thinks he's got unfinished business in the prem? Left under a bit of a cloud but look what he's achieved since then.

Fingers crossed he comes and ties this midfield together.

Will definitely be the end of Neil if he comes in imo

That’s the most important thing for me, still feel we lack them with the young squad we have. Xhaka would be perfect here
