I'll back the club if they think he's the best the club can afford / attract right now.

Think he's someone our fans will either love or hate though.
I wonder if the new GK coach has had a say too, surely he will advise on keepers or at least add a bit of his input in recommendations

Tbh, I’d hope not, he’s there to an improve a keeper he’s not a scout nor has he necessarily worked with the level of keeper the club want to move forward

He's worked with the current best goalkeeper in the world (according to FIFA)

He'd definitely get some input like. Whether they listen to it or act on it, but they'd be silly to have a goalkeeping expert in the club and not solicit his views

True, if the club sign him though then they must have saw something or at least are confident we could get him to a top level

Does that take into account english tax?
**** English tax. Target a foreign keeper if you can’t get him around that fee

just my opinion, his stats are shocking except when he was at Arsenal facing good shots for him every game

He has but who else? We can’t buy Martinez the other options are what Sam Johnstone? At two clubs I think?

You could my point anyway

I'm kinda relaxed about the fee as I know the club won't be taken for a ride. And if they've identified Ramsdale as the best option (I wouldn't have), we also don't know who option 4 is if we decide against Ramsdale. I don't really want the club being massively tight about transfer fees to miss out on the player they want.

That said, I'd prefer it to be no more than £15m

Not saying we should sign a player he's worked with. Just that he will be able to help identify what makes a good goalkeeper. The way David Preece used to. He will be able to help inform our scouts rather than do the scouting himself.
