I personally think it would be a mistake to go into the season with only Talbi and Roberts as wingers who can play the right side, but i can also appreciate there are other concerns that are more pressing.

No reason we cant do them all.

Yep said this the other day. If Talbi picks up an injury and we have to rely on Roberts for months that’s a massive worry. Full backs in the PL aren’t ****e like most of the championship and they will bypass him like he’s not even there going forward.

And Talbi isnt even a natural right winger as is, I think we will almost certainly look to bring in a 5th winger.

I def don't want Neil to go but feels like he will go

Been really quiet on the contract front and everything I've heard is he isn't signing it. The club will have a deadline in mind and if it's not signed by then I could see him moving on

Could we sign better than him, of course but we could equally sign worse than him. There's something special with having academy lads in the team and while I think there's areas of his game that will likely get found out at the next level, I could also see him improving in these

I want him to stay but my gut feeling is he will be away
if Neil is not intending to sign a new improved contract, as has been doing these past 6-8 months of so, then the time to part ways needs to come sooner rather than later.

I mean like i say, he isnt a natural right winger. He played on the right to accomodate their best player being their LW Tzolis - but throughout his youth career was predominantly a left winger and even played there whenever tzolis was unavailable.

This does however mean that he is comfortable on both sides now, a useful option to have in the squad behind adingra on one side and to compete with a new right winger on the other. At least thats the impression I am getting from the Sacha quotes, the clubs statements, and how it looks like we are building the squad.

He was touted as the next coming by some on here, just never fully got over his injury, such a shame, pocket whatever we get and move on imo.
I was one. He was genuinely elite as a youngster until that injury. To attract him to us at that stage was remarkable I thought. I hope he can rebuild confidence somewhere, there is still a really good attacking full back in there I think.

I don't think for one second that the club consider Patrick Roberts to be a 3rd choice option for RW. I understand that a lot of our fans don't rate him that highly, but the club clearly do.
And he really wont stick around as 3rd choice either. His value is on the pitch, not in the stands, we would do the right thing by him and let him play somewhere else. Like you though I believe the club like him. Ceetainly all of our coaches have so far.

I will be very surprised if he is a starter due to the lack of goals/assists he has produced over the last two seasons , very talented player but does not produce enough on a regular basis to warrant a starting place .

Luca Kjerrumgaard would be an interesting signing for a Championship club.

Striker for Odense Boldklub in the Danish 2nd division. 22, listed as 6ft3 but I'm pretty sure he's taller than that. 19 goals and 5 assists in 26 games this season (2203 minutes).

Obviously the standard is a tricky one to judge but his build, speed, link play, ball striking and finishing are all good. With the current trend of taller, quick strikers (Haaland, Isak, Delap, Ekitike, Emegha just to name a few) I think he could be someone who is playing at a top level in 3 years.

Joining Watford. Really interested to see how this plays out.
