doesn’t surprise me, personally I’ve no idea on the financial capacity/health of Leeds therefore why would they have that in respect of us.

pretty typical view of football fans that has no real depth or understanding, they’ve seen some relatively big fees for us, based on last few years where we’ve been a **** up and its ’how are Sunderland affording this’

also seen as a competitor so they will want to throw doubt on what we are doing/how we are doing it…..they should concentrate on themselves

Kone is poor imo, had a decent spell last season but outside of that was shocking in the games I watched - would get eaten alive in the PL imo

Interesting. The small handful of games I saw he was excellent. Given Scouted lionised him in their ‘best u23 strikers’ article back in May alongside many of the names that have either moved to great hype or been mentioned in dispatches on here, I would have thought his output was more even than you suggest. Maybe that’s the Dodds effect.

If it was just the northern echo saying it I wouldn’t believe it but as Michael Walker has said he’s not coming here then it’s good as fact.

It’s a shame I’ve kind of got it in my head about those two strikers from USG and we haven’t even been linked to them <laugh>

I watched him both pre and post Dodds and just didn't think his all around game was up to much

Showed good pace and workrate but lacked the link up and hold up play needed for going up a level or 2

Id of been ok with him if we were in the Championship, and he might play in the PL 1 day but I just dont see it at the minute

Back to names mentioned in that scouted article, has anyone seen much of Francilino Dju? Good goal scoring record, powerful runner, left footed striker who is comfortable deeper or out wide. Lots of transfer chatter mid season but almost nothing this summer. Classic Sunderland transfer then!:emoticon-0102-bigsm
