Defensive midfielder Hidemasa Morita he is entering his final year of his contract, Leeds have been after him since April, he turned down a new contract as he wants to play in the PL

No idea why, but Leeds have changed their mind, I’m hoping it’s because they get Stach, his agent is in overdrive offering him to PL clubs, don’t be surprised if he gets linked to you soon

Fee around £7m

Had a busy night

Any chance of a quick summary, if anything has actually happened? <laugh>

Been thinking. Adringa looks the best value deal so far? But folk seem the UK market is the worst value. I think we may need to rebalance opinions?

I think it’s due to his contract situation we’ve got value but it’s a fair point. There are obviously value options to find if the circumstances are right

Talbi confirmed
Adingra fee & personal terms agreed (£20 million inc add-ons)
New assistant head coach (Vulcano)
New opposition analysis coach (Madir)
New GK coach (Cutler)

Sunderland AFC is pleased to welcome three new appointments to Régis Le Bris’ coaching staff ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season.

A former Coach at AC Milan and more recently Assistant Manager at Al-Nassr, Luciano Vulcano joins the Club in the position of Assistant Head Coach, subject to international clearance.

Luciano is joined by Assistant Coach Isidre Ramón Madir, subject to international clearance, and Goalkeeping Coach Neil Cutler.

Isidre will lead on opposition analysis and has previously undertaken roles with Barcelona, Valencia, OGC Nice, and Paris Saint-Germain, in addition to the Spain and Iraq national teams.

Neil will lead the Club’s goalkeeping programme and take responsibility for developing the first-team’s shot-stoppers, after previously undertaking coaching roles at West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Formerly Head of Goalkeeping, Alessandro Barcherini was appointed Interim Assistant Coach last season, and he now transitions into this new role on a permanent basis, focussing primarily on the team’s defensive unit and individual development plans.

The Club’s new coaching structure also includes Michael Proctor and Pedro Ribeiro, who will continue to undertake Assistant Coach roles.
