Go with me here, I think AFCON lasts 4-6 games depending how far the specific team goes in the tournament. Someone correct me if that's not right, how many starts do you think someone like Roberts or Mundle gets in a league season with 38 games, I'm just trying to look at the rotation angle and keeping squad players happy, I imagine it's going to be difficult to keep those players happy if they're starting less than 20 games.

I think if we were an established Premiership side I would be echoing what you're saying here but I almost struggle to believe we've the capacity to hold 5 first team wingers and successfully rotate and use them, and that's with it being a AFCON year.

Depends how well they do in training, the fitness of other wingers etc. It could be 38 for each of them if they impress regis enough (it won't be but the point stands).

We have also in most seasons over the last decade had 5 or more wingers imo. Last season was more of an anomaly and I was consistently saying I wanted us to sign one or two more.

I’m slightly less worried about AFCON than I was. I think the Adringa signing cements that Talbi, and I think also Sadiki, are likely to be squad players than starters

we knew we should sign promising kids for the future too who would be part of the squad, just didn’t expect to be dropping £18m on them!

reinildo as well is clearly competing with Cirkin and unlikely to be playing 38 games

Think Diarra and Adringa will be the only big misses

When you look at the attributes of all our new signings and then add last seasons players in the mix, the likes of Isidor, Mayenda, Hume etc. We're going to have some serious pace and energy in our team this coming season.

I dont think many teams will enjoy coming to the SOL on a cold Monday evening.

I did read that we'd need dispensation from each respective nation but that it's likely to be granted.

Hope their heads aren't already at the AFCOn if they are allowed to play.

Think consensus is 13 days before but you can ask for allowances

I think they’ll play against Newcastle and fly straight out which would give them a week before the tournaments opening game.

He's played a lot of PL football mind. That's what the money is for. I had to look, but 29 games last season.
My only reservation is the AFCON, but it seems like we'll be entering!

And he’s only 6 months older than Mundle I believe. So in comparison he’s played a LOT more football

What excites me the most is the pace and power, i said at the start it is CRUCIAL we get this in the squad to counter attack since we will be on the back foot.

We now have it in midfield and the wings and upfront, even at LB with Reinildo

I'm fairly sure they will be available for the mags game it's 8 days before the competition starts. As we don't actually have to release them at all then I'm sure we can at least ensure they are around until after that game.

He is mind. He's 23, played 60 Premier League games, and in a good side too.

No guarantees with any player until they play for us, but it might be remembered, this guy has more Premiere League experience than all the players we've signed up to now put together. I think that's a real plus
