He went for the money. The fact that he didn't even end up taking it having discarded his principals and his alliances doesn't redeem him in the eyes of those he disappointed.

Either way. Not worth doing this conversation again. Especially while he hasn't signed or even really been linked to sign for us.
 
Downie might also not be allowed to announce it because somebody else has been promised the exclusive to say here we go when its ready

This is where our politics becomes the dividing line, I wholeheartedly disagree but that's life.

I think Henderson would be a good signing for the squad for all the reasons listed a bunch of times, but perhaps the biggest impact he would make is the subtle and unsaid political one. Sunderland and Hendo, a match made in heaven?

That's fair, but it's important to me, it reinforces that the club is mindful of it's financial health, so long story short, I don't view a free agent link or signing as boring or lacking ambition, just another tool in the tool belt. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I'm sure you would if it was Tom Flanagan but wouldn't if it was .... I'm actually not sure there's anyone I'd want on a free. Would have to check the list.
 
I know when we got Roy as manager, we got loads of players in, but not at this level, I cancelled my season ticket but hope to be at the West Ham game
