Tbf the strikers we’ve been linked with so far all fit a similar mould to Mika. Abline, Vanat, Suarez, not the tallest or aerially dominantAs I've said before, I love the idea of Mika but hes not the profile of striker I expected. I thought given our deficiencies in the air, we'd want someone big to hold it up and score headers and defend corners. I wouldn't rule out another striker with that being the case. I heard a rumour a lad named Lucca who'd have given us this, but think we've been put off by asking price.

Too much fannying about at times with Arteta style so I'll reserve judgement that Gorkeres is the man they are after or Sesko. time will tell. He’s a machine. He will take chances they create and also make his own goals.
He is a beast, and he’s done it big league.
Their ‘type’ is not winning PL.

Isak is Liverpool bound.. more so than ever.If Arsenal got Isak I think the title could be theres but Gorkeres is bloody good when I have seen him.
I said in my original post, he is a good player. I just don't see him fitting into Arsenals style of play.If Arsenal got Isak I think the title could be theres but Gorkeres is bloody good when I have seen him.
They want 40/50 million for Lucca
I’d rather Petrovic gets done then mika
there’s plenty good striker options but petro is a huge upgrade
A nice problem after having 0 strikers in the past. Obvious statement, but we must score a decent amount of goals to have a good season. Diarra should chip in, Mundle too. Need a goalscoring RW and another option up front to add to that.Agreed. TBH I'm not even convinced we need a new striker, I really believe Mayenda will step up. He may not be properly "PL quality" right now but I fully believe he will be by the end of the season if given the opportunity, look at his progression last year, it was insane how much he improved with a few games.
Bit concerned that bringing in a new "star striker" might limit Eli's minutes and stunt his growth a little. But on the other hand, I understand it's probably good to not put full pressure on him to be the main man from day 1...
If either were coming they’d be done nowMikautadze was first revealed in the press on Monday, and Petrovic on Wednesday.
It's Friday morning.
Neither of these qualify as a "long will they won't they scenario" just yet![]()

Aye thats the worry. When you go for good players theres always big competitionWe’ll be in from him (based on the people reporting we are) but that doesn’t stop our interest being used, by Lyon and Mikautadze’s camp, to drive up price from being true.
The same could/likely will be true of Petrovic too.
We saw it in the January window that we suffered from perhaps being too ambitious and we maybe risk that happening here. I’m still relaxed about it as we’re early in the window but it’s a shame it’s all out there as fan expectation management may become a challenge.
Absolutely not trueIf either were coming they’d be done now
