He's reported on the 2 and not in any way mentioned the 8.

That's irresponsible to his audience. If you're reporting on "reports". Report on all of them. People like your Dad who will read that and think it's close.

Honestly, there arent many good journalists left in the world mate. At least not in football terms. Years ago Sky did a sunday morning breeakfast eating with chief football fellas. It was the beginning of them being media stars themselves, and moving away from being truly great journos who could paint pictures with words. Now they all just copy each other and nobosy does anything insightful or unique in this space.

The Athletic are the only ones left. And they hoovered up all the remaining good journalistic talent. Well worth the fairly low subscription fee.

Agree. I pay my dues to read their stuff. I get the sense that even that may have already peaked.

The Daily Mirror article this morning about Petrovic read like new information to me. The fact that it was a full article, written by their chief sports reporter, suggests there might be some truth to the deal being close. If they were just referring to yesterday's reports they would probably have just mentioned it on their transfer rumours page (I'm just assuming they have one of those). Clutching at straws?....

With Ghisolfi "officially" in post wonder if we get some form of interview soon - I mean not to detract from the work he is busy with :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Also the lads (Heroes) are back at the AoL tomorrow looking forward to all that content probably give us some hints to players leaving etc. wouldnt be surprised if they break some of that news before people speculate based on videos and pics of the lads returning
