think a bit both,Out of interest are Fab and the other respected journalists tweeting today? Or have they gone quiet due to Jota?
Is it not the article I just said where it says according to multiple reports? The Echo are normally ones to pour cold water. This is the opposite.

The article literally says both us and Frankfurt are in negotiations. We can't use that as proof that we're in negotiations but dismiss it that Frankfurt are as well. If we believe it about Sunderland we have to take it at face value about Frankfurt too surely?
Is it not the article I just said where it says according to multiple reports?
they 100% would have poured cold water on itAlso says "set to land"
Who knows.
The Echo would normally pour cold water.
I'd have expected them to say "but some reports say its not so close" if this was simply their commentary on the rumours.
He has put the word close in abbreviations, I think he just quoting other reportsThe Echo are normally ones to pour cold water. This is the opposite.

Petrovic deal to cost £21.5million
Sunderland are closing in on the signing of Djordje Petrovic, with multiple reports suggesting a fee of £21.5million has been agreed with Chelsea.
The 25-year-old Serbia international impressed during a loan spell at Strasbourg last season and is keen to secure regular top-flight football after limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

I hope you’re right tbfIn the headline yeh. But then in the body says this. The Echo using language such as "understood to be close" is as committed as they get.
Sunderland are set to land Djordje Petrovic for £21.5m as talks continue over French left-back Melvin Bard
Sunderland’s summer rebuild continues to take shape, with the newly promoted Premier League side pushing ahead on two significant defensive targets.
Talks are ongoing with OGC Nice left-back Melvin Bard, while a £21.5million deal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is understood to be close.
If the echo are reporting that the deal is close they would’ve done an exclusive, this is just a bit they have done on the website, they are just going off other reports I think here
