Just watched this highlight video of Mikautadze and the very first comment is from somebody a week ago saying he'd be a great replacement for Diogo Jota. So sad :(

Doesn't the report on Mikautadze say that Frankfurt are also in discussions (ie the same stage as us)?
 
I'd be amazed if he picked us over Frankfurt like, if those are his options.

Not even just for footballing reasons... I love that I'm from Sunderland, and love our city, but living in Frankfurt would be something else.

Would imagine there isnt much in it between our wages and Frankfurt but like you say they offer CL football - is it as big to a player who has already played it?

Also may come to preference of league he would like to try EPL or Bundesliga

Bulka was happy with coming here (leavng CL football) before the saudi's offered him generational wealth

Hopefully he wants to test himself in the so called best league in the world

He’s free to choose Frankfurt as a holiday destination after he helps us win the league this coming season mind.

Jimmy Skinback on Twitter did confirm we are in for Mikautadze by the way. He essentially did yesterday but did it again just now. Gets most stuff right at least.

Exactly, sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride. I’m loving every minute of this window, far far better than I was expecting.

Frankfurt haven’t sold ekitike yet either

same situation as petrovic. Clubs want him just not yet
