Read it on here mate. Patto a middling Champ keeper according to some. Not saying they are wrong, all about opinions.

Yeh but I mean the club are the ones trying to replace him. I personally didn't originally want a new keeper but now I do as its clear the club think Patterson needs replacing.

That's harsh but I back the club. No point digging out other fans for not backing Patterson when the club aren't.

He absolutely is. All the numbers back this up.

he conceded more goals than he should’ve based on xGoT and that doesn’t take into the times he dropped the ball, parried back into danger etc

I fully get the view point I just don’t think it’s grounded in realism of football in 2025 that’s all. In an ideal world we’d love that but if we actually did that. It’d be suicide and an awful business move from the owners (starting with majority of the same lineup as Wembley)

I do hope we keep a hold of all of them and they battle for their place as I agree I would hate to rip it apart.

But that’s what they need to be (squad depth/ competition) for me bar a few who I think can step up.
There is only ever 1 certain way to know if they can step up. Only one.

I dont think all of the Wembley lads should step up. Not in a million years. But if we are down to 2 or 3 we risk losing what was so very different about our promotion.

It may not be a case of him not signing a contract mate. Sounds like it is all on Neil in that way. Be two parties needing to agree. If Neil cant get what he wants / feels he deserves, then there is no blame on him or the club.
I'm def not blaming him or anything like that, probably came across harsh

What i mean is if he doesn't sign what the club thinks is the best deal for him then we will need to move on

Since the owners have come in they've done everything to look after players so I think Neil will have a good offer on the table. If Neil doesn't want to sign that because he feels he's worth more or wants a new challenge then so be it - he's got to do what's best for him

I'll repeat, I'd be gutted if he left as I'm a huge fan and feel there's still so much growth. I go back to that 2 month period where he showed everyone the player I thought he could be, now he needs to do that consistently

That starting 11 would get smashed by West Ham

But also a lot of them would get games for West Ham.

We don’t need bin the entire team.

We aren’t anyway, we mainly agreed 5-6 starters. That leaves 5-6 from the current side.

That’s a nice balance and those dropped will get games and earn starts if they step up.

We also need to move away from this idea of a starting 11 and back ups. It won't exist. Players will get injured, in and out of form, develop surprisingly quickly, go to AFCON etc

The opening day might have 4 new players, the next game might have 7, the game after back to 5.

RLB likes to keep continuity and make few changes but its not going to be only 13-14 players with 20+ appearances next season, it will be more like 17 or 18.

And I'd be really disappointed if the existing players were put out by new players coming in. Everyone has to fight for their spots. Everyone.

Not digging anyone out. Like I said all about opinions.

I suppose the modern footballing world is one where your chance to prove what you can do is much limited. Particularly when data is so readily available, although whether appropriate conclusions are drawn is debatable in some.cases.

For the record, I am not against upgrading Patto, or at least bringing in a perceived upgrade for him to prove himself against. I just think at times some lads are dismissed in the hope of a shiny new player. Sidiki is a case in point to me. I hooe he smashes it, but he looks a season or so away. But again, just my opinion. Habib on the other hand, yes please.

Well this has taken a turn.

Guess if I was realistic then may 24th shouldn't have happened as we had an average keeper, am average defence that would get hammered by var, a slow midfield and a half decent striker.

None of them good enough for the premier league

Yeah match day team sheet has to be strong even taking into account of injuries
That’s is going to be difficult

yeh completely understand this.

On Sadiki I think and hope you might be underrating him based on what I’ve been reading this evening. But I’m no expert and have never watched him live so can’t argue.

Aye mate, I know your feelings about him. 100% same as mine. He is a serious footballer.

If he goes I hope it is to Italy. I think he would dominate in a good Italian side.

I hope you're just joking and not throwing a strop about other people's footballing opinions.

I'll assume you are just kidding.

who’s said none of them are good enough for the premier league?

you have a habit of taking what one person has said, exaggerating it, and then making out that everyone shares that view.

Hume, Cirkin, Ballard, Neil, Rigg, ELF, Mundle, Mayenda and Isidor are all definitely good enough for the premier league. And I wouldn’t mind O’Nien and Alese getting minutes either. Roberts at a push.

Jesus wept.

a lot of that team are good championship players. Mind we finished 4th we didn’t run away with the league we were competitive.

They are not good enough for the premier league as a starting 11. Individual players are

that shouldn’t be hard to grasp
