I live in hope. I still think we've got a good chance of retaining Jobe.
I'm not sure about that mind. That league really is a low level operation, however much cash is thrown at it. It's not about football at all. They are just well paid pawns.
Footballers need to be playing. He'll be yesterday's guy if he stays there for three years.
Pep ran into difficulties last night against a Saudi team...Goalkeeper Bono made big saves to deny Savinho and Ilkay Gundogan from close range, before showing sharp reflexes to tip Josko Gvardiol's header over the crossbar.

All relative I suppose. His worst case scenario is probably come and sit on a big club bench for 25k a week having already earned 30m for three years. There are certainly worse things. Was thinking along the same lines, who's gona want him? Hes not going to improve over there hes very likely to go backwards , I can't see top clubs taking on an expensive goalkeeper that's not played competitive football for 2/3 years.
coThat's the same as saying they're not selling him. Bloody hell they know how to sell players mind, but the lad is only twenty, been injured and scored thirteen goals in three seasons.
That's true. Football doesn't wait around for players or managers . A year out is a long time, never mind three.
I know one or two lads who have earned some very, very good money working abroad. They really have earned it too, but they are open about not being able to work for what is on offer here, or anywhere really other than the Stans or similar.
He'll be the same. If he spends three years there, the highest level he can hope to come back to would be roughly where we are now, maybe less. He won't want to play for that cash. Others will have emerged and have been tested by then to attract the big payers.
He's all in on this.
I’ve just had confirmation that the organisation Brown Envelope FIFA will not be getting involved. Something to do with washing and sports and handers from the back. Are the Saudis exempt from any kind of control over what they can spend.
We have this PSR thing. Like it or not it at least tries to even things out a bit.
I would guess all other European clubs are subject to some kind of control.
If the Saudis can do whatever they want with no control over their spending I can see a lot more players going there to play to a few hundred Arabs for a £million a game.
Isn’t there some organisation that should be controlling this, FIFA or something like it.
The Saudis have unlimited money so what’s to stop them buying football.
The mags can’t do it here but their owners can do it in Saudi.
Maybe they will find a way to destroy our domestic footy using the mags.
I’m all for signing Abline like. I think he has some real potential
I cant get excited by any striker link for the same reason, Lyon lad yesterday aside, I just want to see mayenda ripping it up, Wilson feels like a forgotten man too think he could thrive playing against higher linesgotta be honest I'm a bit "meh" with him. Doesn't really excite me. I'm more excited by Mayenda and we don't have to pay £20m+ for him.
