There probably aren't 20 clubs in the world who are competing with Saudi money so as soon as they were mentioned as an option we knew it could come to this.
He will probably play there for 2-3 seasons, earn 4x what he could have earned in one of the top-4 leagues, then join a top team and we'll see how good he is. If he's as good as people say then I've no doubt he'll back himself to rock up at a Champions League club in 2029 and do the business.

Agreed. It's a lot of cash, but taking it at his age and stage if career would imply for me that he is a bloke I wouldn't want with me in a fight.

Sorry Southern but how can you be gutted over not signing a player most on here hadn't even heard of until a few days ago....for a position we've got a keeper on our books as capable as any in holding down a starting role.
We've probably saved ourselves a sh1t load of money on a bloke who looks as if we wasn't suited for a team KLD and Reg are buiding.
We'll move on and get in players who actually want to be here...We've had years signing mercenaries who've ducked this club over good and proper.
