I’ve just had a brilliant idea for the daft media things we could do for the new signings (well it sounds brilliant to me)

imagine this, an briefing room in an abandoned building in the sheepfolds.

The room looks a wee bit like the briefing room in money heist !
One by one we have a montage video GTa style with a voice over describing each new persons skills heist until they are all announced and then right at the end slap a big fonted text across the screen Premier Heist !

Yeh I don't think "Prem Experience" is what it used to be. Foreign coaching and tactical influences mean the game isn't that much different here versus everywhere else.

Now of course, it's still beneficial. I just don't think we should take an under par player because they have specific Premier experience.

Couldn't agree more

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Brighton and Brentford never had any players with Premiership experience when they came up.

I'm sure Burnley and Sheff Utd did a couple of years ago and look what happened to them. One thing in our favour in my opinion anyway is our lack of premier league experience. None of our current crop have the ghosts of Premier league failure haunting them.

Ok if Sporting see him as a Gyokeres replacement maybe he's better than I'm giving him credit for. For some reason when I saw Sporting earlier I thought of Gijon

Well he's one of about 15 on sportings shortlist and they're trying to get him on the cheap, don't think he's close to top of their list.

I'll back the club if he's the target like, but he's still a risk.

The first thing is other premier teams will have little knowledge about playing us compared to the ‘usual’ 17.
The second thing is, hopefully, we will have most of our transfers in for the start of the season where the first couple of months have several games we could get a fair few points from as opposed to the following few months where we get some much tougher games.
*I know, they’re all tough but West Ham is more winnable than Liverpool etc.

Although fab reckons he's first on the list so what do I know, dunno why they'd try and get him on the cheap then.

What very few teams have had going up is a natural core of young improving players with experience.

Who’s had the likes of Rigg just gone 18 with that many games under their belt?

I think many, including some of us, are overlooking how much the step up in standard will accelerate player growth.

Been at Glasto for 5 days, owt happened? Hahaha
