I do trust Speakman and the owners a fair bit but I do worry about the amount of transfers we're being linked with. This is a lot of potential churn in the starting 11 from around Europe. I wanted a strengthened starting 11 rather an entirely new one if you get my worry. Ultimately I'll still support anyone who pulls on the shirt unless they show themselves to not deserve that support but I do have the little worry in my head that we are going down the forest route a bit too much.
The project is able to seduce the ambitious Gym goalkeeper (25 years old), who will not complete his last year of contract at OGC Nice, where he arrived in 2021. The player had refused last season the extension proposals that had been made to him and it was recorded that he would be sold this summer.
For which destination? The Premier League has long seemed to hold the rope. Two promoted, in particular, make Bulka's sweet eyes: Leeds and Sunderland.
However, if the two clubs are talking to the goalkeeper, they have not made it their priority in the position, and they do not seem ready in the immediate future to offer the Gym the €15 million to €20 million that its leaders want for their goalkeeper.
At the beginning of the transfer window, the Turks of Galatasaray were ready to make an offer in this range, but it was Bulka who had quickly ended the discussions. As announced in L'Équipe on Thursday, a Saudi track existed in parallel: it led to Neom. The Saudi club also targeted another L1 goalkeeper, Lucas Perri.
The 27-year-old Brazilian offers a profile comparable to that of Bulka, hence Leeds' interest in him as well. But the instability that currently reigns at OL, which will not make transfers until it has clarified its future, would have encouraged the decision-makers of the Saudi club to accelerate on Bulka.
The latter thus offered €15 million to OGC Nice, obtaining the agreement of the French Riviera club. It still remains to get the goalkeeper's, but he would be seduced by the deal. Sunderland has not yet lost all hope in the file, but yesterday he seemed tenuous.

Not every links means we are signing multiple for one position. We are trying to sign a new GK, CB, CM, ST, LW and I’d imagine RW it’s just we will have multiple options being worked on

Yes pleased, haven't watched loads of him but the bits I've seen have been very impressive. Got massive upside, PL would be a jump for him but he's got everything to be a success at this level
He fits the model but like Diarra is levels above what we were able to attract in the Championship

I get what you’re saying though. I’ve had the same thought about too many players from one nationality. Hope many of them speak English. Equally I’m not one of the ‘last years team was enough’ brigade. I think only 5 more and we’d be hammered come injuries. We didn’t have enough quality in depth for last year never mind this one.
Suppose i was just thinking they wouldnt want to leave us waiting for like 4/5 days but **** it why not.
