Just over a week ago we were getting linked to Harry Toffolo ffs

it feels like literally in the last 5 days we’ve gone from “play off winners Sunderland” to “ambitious project Sunderland”

 

he’s only 20, clubs always want young talent? Wouldn’t play for them obviously

 

I probably would have said that a centre half who can cover right back was a higher priority given our squad composition and needs. However gift horse, mouth and all that.

 

PSG spent big money on the Brazilian left footed CB kid Beraldo and then the other LCB is Pacho who's only 23. I'd be very shocked unless one left.

 

I know you are after the versatility, but it’s more that he’s a left footed left sided centre back, rather than that he can cover fullback, that is of interest to me

 

I 100% think we are going to have a new XI nigh on by the end of this window. At least 6-7 will go in or compete to go in.

If we strengthen enough where current players we like can become depth or competition that’s the strongest way you can strengthen imo

Think we will see 2/3 more CB links over the next 2 days before one progresses.
