Just says they’ve agreed a fee.

They’ve also agreed a fee for Perri.

Reports say we’ve agreed a contract, but no fee. So I’d argue we are a step ahead.

Fee shouldn’t be too difficult to agree.

Nah, says they've agreed with both club and player. We "were" trying to convince him. Sounds very final.

Oh well, we move on.

I just don’t see why he’d agree terms with them if he was coming here. His mind will be made up.

the only thing that has said he’d agreed to come here was the echo and they even used the term “believed” then so I think he’s never agreed to come here.

It was always telling to me that it got leaked when it did. I said it seemed to have come from the agent and I reckon he’s been teasing out offers

I think from a football perspective we are obviously an attractive project and probably on some level a somewhat trendy club to join. These Saudi teams, like the MLS and like China were 10 years ago have the potential to just blow all but the very richest clubs out of the water.

We probably wanted to sell Bulka on the project, that if he plays well and we stay up, we're agree to let him leave to a Champions League club etc whilst the basic wages we were offering would be competitive but not huge, Saudi money can probably change his grandchildren's lives forever.

oh absolutely. I’m just a bit aggrieved because people have been telling me how wrong I am for believing the guardian this morning after telling me how wrong I was for thinking that the agent might have leaked it initially to Romano.

we’ve all (understandably) got a bit carried away, me included. And if anything this is a reminder and wake up call that especially with elite players they’re not done until they’re done, even if somebody like Romano is making it sound positive.

I mean either way, we want to stregthen the spine, we aren't going to lose out on a keeper we have been trying to pay £18m for and not try and sign another

People lead with their emotions, they say what they want to happen because it's easier than critical thinking.

The guardian are still not the most reliable mate

I chose not to believe it because they’re not a massive source. They said we were going to groundshare with the mags ffs. Of course they’ll get things right

but I only strongly believe links from a few journalists

Ay.

Jimbo is right in that he’s maybe not quite cooked, but his potential is top few in world.
That's the thing, he probably will be great in a few years but I'd rather not be taking that risk right now when he's quite a way off the finished product
