yeh probably not an argument you’re right. Just seeing it a bit of bashing the club on a strategy based on nothing but speculation

I don’t think the club have done anything wrong and nor has Neil or his agents

It’s works on a 3 year cycle inclusive of the upcoming season. In the prem you can lose £35m a season, in the championship it’s £13m. So for us we are allowed £61m loss (£35m for this year and then 2x13m). Leeds are in the same boat and Burnley have an extra £22m loss capacity because they were in the prem in 23/24.

Where we have an immediate advantage is we can add another ~£50m+ on top because of the clarke, Watson and now jobe sales.

What you have to remember is £30m for Diarra isn’t actually a £30m expense (for PSR terms). It will only be £6m each year being 30m over a 5 year contract.

I don’t know much about the other two promoted sides, but my assumption is they haven’t made any significant sales as of yet, and they’ll both still have high annual ‘PSR expenditure’ from lads they have that were signed in the prem days or larger championship purchases.

We’ve spent relative buttons on players on long term deals so our annual PSR expenditure is really low, whilst our PSR income has been very high for a championship side for player trading.

Hope that kind of makes sense. Obviously haven’t done my research on Leeds/Burnley (who are still in good positions regardless) so could be wrong about them but that’s my assumption.

Bulka will be next I reckon, sounds extremely close. I really want an update on Lauriente as it's quiet.

Might hear more about a bid for Guendouzi and Angelino today as they need to sell by Monday

Im assuming Strasbourg needed to sell quickly as well hence the medical in Paris and not UK

The other thing to consider we have some other players who we could bank massive profits on for PSR.

Think the fact we are looking at investing £20m on a goalkeeper may well be part of the PSR game, - selling Patto could potentialy book £10m profit which gives even more firepower this summer. Guessing in terms of salary levels between the 2 may not be that far apart.
