maybe we’d have to pay compensation if he joined before then.

he’s definitely started work tho, I think we can all feel confident in that

There's no suggestion we bought his contract from Roma,so he still has one with them until 30th June and,if that's right, can't take one up with us until Tuesday,which is when I'd think he'll be announced.

Does this mean Patto hits them longer than Bulka, or did his team play it out from the back more?

Will be interested to listen and see if Alex Barker is "reporting" it or simply reacting to the rumours based on his insights from French football

Yeh same. from what I've heard so far it sounds like he's simply commenting on the rumours that its nearly done, based on his expertise of Ligue 1, rather than reporting it as such.

You'd think if the Athletic had any insight into the deal itself they'd report it rather than hide that insight in a podcast.

Problem is it would be back to the championship as don’t think he would make number one in any other Premier League side I would rather he stayed here and fought for the number one jersey hair

I want to just raise a note of caution here. They are talking on the roker report podcast like its essentially a done deal and I think this is risky until a proper journalist reports it as such (I'm not counting Vidal but would obviously count Romano).

Honestly not even worrying, Romano doesn't risk his reputation like this, the way he is speaking about it and he even said he sees it being done in a few days is quite big for him to say. Obviously **** could happen but, right now i'm confident

I agree Romano doesn't say stuff unless its the absolute truth. He's paid to tweet stuff but will only tweet truths. That said, he's said we "believe" Bulka wants to join. And we don't even know if we can agree a fee yet. So I'm wanting to stay calm.

That said, this Alex Barker is insanely positive about him.
