I think we will spend over 50m that's for sure, can't see us breaking 100m as I think we will recruit and get deals done to where it doesn't go up to that figure. I reckon we might be closeish to it though
Suspect we'll break that £100m barrier, particularly given Watson and Jobe leaving gives us a lot of leeway. However, I'd be frankly astonished - and tbh a little concerned - if we went mad and absolutely max ourselves out. We'll need to be judicious in the players and positions we target, though.

Yeah we won't max ourselves out that would be daft

Deals will be structured in a way that will allow exits upon relegation that will not negatively affect our PSR requirements. This is also achieved by and becomes more likely by targeting the players we are, it's highlight unlikely if you pay 20m+ for Skipp someone is going to come along and take him off you to leave you in a net short position. This is the difference between our recruitment, based purely on reported conjecture mind, and the signings made by the promoted sides last year. We are looking in totally different markets and arguably calibres.

Not a chance we'd risk signing someone we believe we couldn't make a profit on, thats whether we stay up or go down.

The targeting of Angelino again suggests to me that we may be switching to a back 5. A lot of the reported targets suit that system.
I’ve been thinking this a while. A lot of focus on wingbacks and CBs that have played that system.

woukd make sense as the links to Lauriente and bischoff then

What type as i'm assuming we will want to keep wingers in too?
See i'm looking at the lack of winger reports (I know that means very little) and thinking it would be a 5-3-2. Keeps the front 2 from the 4-4-2 and a similar midfield structure to the 4-3-3.

At Lorient RLB played a 3-4-3 with a box midfield, so that could be in play also. Lauriente seems to be more of an inside forward so would fit that.

Lauriente is a proper left winger though isn't he?

RLB is clever enough to set up a squad to play multiple systems, he will probably want the option to play 5 at times but would be surprised if he totally abandons the 433 and 442 that was our core last year
Nail on head! RLB is looking to have a squad that will be adaptable to different formations, even within matches,in accordance with his assessment of the opposition.

At that sort of fee for Angelino, surely we’d be better off spending the money elsewhere.

I’m quite comfortable going into the season with Cirkin/Alese as left back options. I think they’ll both transition well to the PL.

I wouldn’t mind him but it’s obviously fee/wage dependant. A lot of experience at a decent level but I wouldn’t go beyond £12/13m. If Saudis are in then we won’t be able to match them.
