Bournemouth signing him would be a weird one considering they just signed a left back. Sounds to me like he wants the Saudi move but I guess we'll find out todayYou must log in or register to see media

Suspect we'll break that £100m barrier, particularly given Watson and Jobe leaving gives us a lot of leeway. However, I'd be frankly astonished - and tbh a little concerned - if we went mad and absolutely max ourselves out. We'll need to be judicious in the players and positions we target, though.I think we will spend over 50m that's for sure, can't see us breaking 100m as I think we will recruit and get deals done to where it doesn't go up to that figure. I reckon we might be closeish to it though
Hope so. Don't want to be spending £15m+ on an older left back. It's not a position that is priority for big moneyReads like he's waiting for the Al-Nassr move

I’ve been thinking this a while. A lot of focus on wingbacks and CBs that have played that system. The targeting of Angelino again suggests to me that we may be switching to a back 5. A lot of the reported targets suit that system.
What type as i'm assuming we will want to keep wingers in too?The targeting of Angelino again suggests to me that we may be switching to a back 5. A lot of the reported targets suit that system.
5 or 6 as a guess with more to follow. How many we reckon we sign before pre season starts in 9 days, I'm going for 2 signed based on nothing but hope
See i'm looking at the lack of winger reports (I know that means very little) and thinking it would be a 5-3-2. Keeps the front 2 from the 4-4-2 and a similar midfield structure to the 4-3-3.What type as i'm assuming we will want to keep wingers in too?
Lauriente is a proper left winger though isn't he?See i'm looking at the lack of winger reports (I know that means very little) and thinking it would be a 5-3-2. Keeps the front 2 from the 4-4-2 and a similar midfield structure to the 4-3-3.
At Lorient RLB played a 3-4-3 with a box midfield, so that could be in play also. Lauriente seems to be more of an inside forward so would fit that.
Just looking at his heat maps he spends a lot of time in the left half spaceLauriente is a proper left winger though isn't he?
343 with wingers sitting inside slightlyWhat type as i'm assuming we will want to keep wingers in too?
Nail on head! RLB is looking to have a squad that will be adaptable to different formations, even within matches,in accordance with his assessment of the opposition.RLB is clever enough to set up a squad to play multiple systems, he will probably want the option to play 5 at times but would be surprised if he totally abandons the 433 and 442 that was our core last year
At that sort of fee for Angelino, surely we’d be better off spending the money elsewhere.
I’m quite comfortable going into the season with Cirkin/Alese as left back options. I think they’ll both transition well to the PL.
