I’d rather have the money and pl status with which to recruit a better alternative personally. Edwards is nice enough but he’s definitely the best of a bad bunch for them. As for the rest, it means that if Edwards doesn’t translate, they’ve committed at very least a quarter of their prem budget on players to get them out of the championship. At least with ELF we can be more confident that he’ll take to the level.
Yeah we were in advanced talks and it was extremely close. Was reported by sky and Keith etc then he ended up going to Cardiff, got loaned out, didn’t play much, came back in Jan. didn’t make a single appearance for Cardiff

Saw a Vanat mention earlier which sounded like we weren’t all that interested at the current price. Can’t say I’m too bothered from the very little I saw at the U21s. Preferred the little cameos from Abline.
I am probably leaning towards preferring we look elsewhere to both Abline and Vanat at the quoted prices, theres better value.
You can see its all going to start on the 1st July ,shirts, signings ,transfers out , new contracts.. 3 signed up already seems to be the rumours going around.I'd like Florien and a contract this week and then the kit and a signing next week.

I mean I was shocked he went to Cardiff over us but the way the season went it was even more weird that they beat us to him never mind then sending him out on loan and never playing him?
I wonder if we need a player with a bit of guile up there. We've got raw pace from both our current options as well as physicality from Mayenda. Not aerial, but I wouldn't expect either to be bullied. We need someone who can better link play I think.
Feels dodgy to me, top prospect who played a lot of games for RB Salzburg, signs for Cardiff (downgrade) only to be loaned to their feeder team where he doesn't even play very much. I wonder if there were some greedy agents involved who took a big cut somewhere?
