I agree totally, it’s the nature of the game. Most of the signings we make now need to be oven ready so he will need a loan or a permanent to get more game time. He does look decent though, but our leagues are very difficult and physical.I agree and it’ll ruffle some feathers but no matter how good Aleksic showed he is/was in training he wasn’t starting over Bellingham or Rigg last season - in my opinion of course. Not saying it’s wrong either, that’s just football unfortunately and it paid off because we got promoted and received a very good fee for Bellingham and Rigg is sought after with a full season of experience behind him at a decent level already. Now the problem is that Aleksic won’t really get a chance in the PL because the step up is huge. We should loan him out imo he could defo play in the championship next season from what I seen of his short cameos, very tidy with the ball at his feet at times and physically sound which is where a lot of young lads fall short when they first come to England.

Cheers mate. We'll have to see if a place in the first team, fanatical support and a French manager give us a chance.

Was definite confirmation the model will change slightly to ensure we stay up first and foremost, expected but nice confirmation. You must log in or register to see media

Speakman again stressed the need for Sunderland to adapt their strategy to cope with the demands of top-tier football, but insisted that the club would again be recruiting with the long term in mind. He also revealed that he had just returned from an overseas trip, in which he met with a number of potential summer recruits. Was definite confirmation the model will change slightly to ensure we stay up first and foremost, expected but nice confirmation.

I wonder whether we'll see a bit of a change in shape anyway. Wouldn't surprise me at all if RLB doesn't quite replicate exactly what we've done this last season. Could well see a more orthodox midfield three with us pushing forward more from out wide. Could easily press differently too. I think the 4-4-2 out of possession worked well with some lineups but left good players isolated with others. Didn't like ELF there, and the times when Browne did that job were painful. Maybe we see more adjustments that mean we're looking for different players. We're likely to have to defend deeper, with a more solid centre and make the most of breakaway chances next season after all.Diarra is talented but I prefer Le fee as a player in a deeper role and think we could target someone more premier league ready in an advanced role.
I'm ashamed to admit I've been on there a fair bot recentlySomeone get on flight radar to see where he's been![]()
