Also from the Guardian today. That's four links in one article.

Liverpool are believed to be willing to let Joe Gomez leave Anfield this summer and there are no shortage of suitors for the England international. Sunderland, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Everton, West Ham, Leeds, and Burnley have formed a disorderly queue for the 28-year-old who is valued at £30m.

Fulham, Leeds and Sunderland are all scrambling to sign Strasbourg’s Senegalese midfielder Habib Diarra, while the two newly promoted sides in that trio of clubs are also interested in signing Celtic’s American centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers. Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga is also wanted by Sunderland, who will have to fight off interest from Millwall’s bitter rivals Crystal Palace if they are to secure his signature.

I like all of those links, wary about Gomez and I think Tanganga is more squad player

Aye getting squad depth at that 2-4m range is critical IMO. It's back to the idea of getting money onto the pitch. Its true we can't gamble on not having enough players to cover injuries and suspensions. However, its critical that these players who are gonna get maybe less than 1000 mins next season don't cost us too much. We can't afford to punt loads at players who don't get on the pitch. Adding players like Tanganga (and the previously mentioned Doyle) bolsters the squad for relatively small outlay. If we're spending big money it needs to be on players who are intended to play minimum 2500 mins for us next season.

I think he's a bargain at 1.2m for a squad player too
