Does this count? Does it matter now, when they cannot compete for players with Brentford, Bournemouth or Palace, whose combined attendance numbers might not equal Rangers'?

History is a big factor. But it is not decisive in a players mind. He wants to play at the highest level he can, earn the most money he can, and get the most exposure he can.

Sadly, for Scottish clubs, that is increasingly unlikely to be in Scotland. There is nothing I can see that will reverse, or even slow down this trend.

I have to look at how he got rid of Drameh and Ayling and brought in Bogle, he grabbed Solomon on Loan, sold Kamara and brought in Tanaka and Gruev his signings have been solid so I have to give him some credit.

I'm not sure this'll be the case, I'm expecting both you and us to sign some good players who we might end up being jealous of the other teams.

I watch a lot of (probably too much) football and feel pretty clued up on a lot of the links there's been for all three promoted teams so far, certainly some of the links I'd have ended up jealous of.

I'm not too fussed about your early business but think the 2 that are basically done will be solid enough for you guys and like I've said in this thread I hope they are. All promoted teams have a mutual interest in the other 2 doing well as it shrinks the gap to the other 17 if we all do well, just have to be the best of the 3.

Right fair enough, the recruitment team are working more with Le Bris than they have with previous managers - think he's earned their faith by not being a total lunatic or just rubbish at his job.

Yeah that's the ideal for the state of English football, needs a mixup in the top flight soon or it'll become a closed club.

We need each other to win mate.

If all 3 of us lose too many we will have last season and a massive gap all over again.

We need Wolves, West Ham and Brentford to lose, and Palace in Europe cos their squad will struggle to cope with the games.
