I’d like to imagine we’ll be adding at least 5 first team additions this window. One of those will be a striker surely? Patto, Hume, Ballard, Le Fee will be nailed on starters then potentials I’d have is Cirkin, Neil, Mundle, Mayenda. We can’t start all 8 of them because come Christmas we’ll have about 5 points. We need considerably better players in some of those positions especially the spine
Absolutely my only disagreement is id take the chance with mundle and mayenda to your list. Every single position probably needs adding too. There’s some I think that need to come into the 11 but for the budget i imagine we will have, striker isn’t one I think we should spend the money it will take to improve the 11. Do need another striker but not one on paper that easily comes in as a starter. Been linked with a few mind so club possibly feels different to me.

just hoyin my thoughts in, with my limited knowledge of football...

imho, we need another 'kaboul/kone' partnership at the back, two big strong lads that can use the ball well and we need another 'yann' type for DM, someone (and i say this every window) with the experience to plug the gaps and read the game ahead of others.

as for names i have no idea who might fit/be available but they are the main targets for the money, i will most likely have to eat these words but much as i love seeing onien on the pitch i would worry if he was at the back in the premiership, too many 'sly feckers' would throw themselves everywhere..although as a team member and squad player he is still a valuable addition to the club.

as said earlier on this thread it is good to have a couple of lads we trust up front rather than the usual screaming for a striker, both have good attributes but need a little more experience, i feel both would do well in the premier, but having that extra body who has 'been there, done it' would certainly help them.

Creswell would be a very good signing in my opinion. His reputation in youth football was top level and I think he has progressed well into the mens game. Centre backs can take a bit longer to learn the big boy game, but he has everything I look for in a CB. A season in France would have done him plenty of good technically.

Would still like a striker in who's better than what we've got, but can provide competition too.
Where does everyone think Abdullahi fits in, considering we apparently paid a decent amount to get him here and has impressed in training in the last few weeks of the season? Watching the videos he seems to fit in great and a good pre-season could see him pushing himself forward, giving us 3 options.

Apparently shocked the staff with how good he is and would’ve played had he not been injured.
