That’s a cracking signing at L1 level tbf

201 championship appearances in the last 5 seasons, hardly misses a game

This might be controversial but if we got offered more than £35m for Rigg, with a sell on, I'd probably accept.

I can already hear the people coming to tell me we can't sell all our players. I'm not saying its an easy decision. But with that money we could sign two players who are both more ready to contribute to keeping us in the league now.

40m and I'd be selling. Pretty sure you can get three or four Le Fee level signings under PSr for that money.

The £220m includes parachute payments. We don’t get it in one year. We only get the parachute payments if relegated
Could be wrong here, but I thought last years TV payments were around £120m for finishing bottom and a new TV deal has been agreed and the TV money had jumped to over £200m as the number of live TV games is almost double next season.

the number of live games hasn’t doubled. Sky have just won the games Amazon used to have and are promoting it as if there are loads more live games.

the majority of tv revenue comes from international anyway.

There are a record number of games being shown this season, between Sky and TNT, about 20 extra (minimum)

There’s 380 games in a season so for context almost 2/3 of games will be shown.

The value of the deal is up about 30%

The Sky deal is the biggest by a mile individually, but it’s true the 45 plus overseas deals are roughly 8 times the Sky deal in total.

The Premier League is phenomenally run and marketed, it’s as perfectly executed a commercial product as you could ever imagine.

TV deals are around £9billion a year, then there’s the merch and all sorts.

Mckenna must hate the lad, boggles the mind - he's shown much more ability than who he gives time to.

I'm not even a massive Clarke fan but it's odd

I feel for Jacky. He didn’t push a move, his agent did. He went to the smallest club in PL and it’s been a ****ing train wreck for the lad.

Real shame.
