Kinda glad that the Abline link is from Santi. I just hope we make an offer and go for him. Like the look of him. But seems he prefers a move to OM

I’m assuming you can spend the prize money based on the fact you know most is likely to come in anyway but you’d have to be careful not to spend too much before we actually get it

Jobe just brought in more money than Donald paid for the club (nothing) and then put into it (practically nothing).

Does perplex me that all that stopped me buying Sunderland from Ellis was literally my network, didn't need to dip into my pocket.

Can someone explain how an insurance salesman from southern england is connected top Satori, i dont understand how that connection was established.

Hope we stick with the model of buying young hungry players and developing our own. With a bit more quality probably from Europe thrown in the mix. PL football and even Sunderland now will be a big draw for some in the euro leagues

We do not get £220 million in one year. Someone is toying with you.

I think it's £110m first season for the bottom team, approximately £3m per place after that. If relegated £60m first season down. £25m second season down. £15m third season down.

Something like that.

I think it was salmon pants. And it should be remembered that Donald's business was formerly his father's.

We shouldn't take what footballers say too seriously, they play upto the fanbase who will gladly lap up all the hyperbole about biggest clubs or being home etc we do it as well mind, it's the nature of modern football.

100%. I've no doubt Jobe genuinely likes and appreciates our fans and what the club has done for him, and there are many others too that would fit that bill...Welbeck's 'they forgot I'm an adopted mackem' comment after he scored the winner against the mags recently, I genuinely believe he's connected emotionally at some level.

I think most understand though, its transactional for the majority of players. It is for nearly all jobs, to be fair. You might have fond memories of past employers, might hate some... if they paid your wages on time...the rest was your choice.

Most footballers surely love football...the team they supported growing up will, 9 times out of 10, be the only team they genuinely love.

That's why we have to cherish our home grown gems... from a supporters perspective they're the only ones where we can assume with relative certainty, that they 100% feel it like we do!

They're living the dream we've all had, after all!

Interesting to see who they go for this summer. I do believe they’ll challenge for automatics again
