First choice 6 and captain I suspect.

For all the speculation about signing players left right and centre. All the demands for pace, strength, power etc. Regis trusted him as captain and he led the on pitch team to promotion. Regis talked about his intelligence on the pitch and calmness under pressure. I think Dan will thrive in the premier league as a footballing 6. Last season Samed was supposed to be the 6 that would see Dan play elsewhere or lose his spot. Good luck to anybody getting that shirt off him tbh.

I would much rather see Dan get a 5 year deal on money like Le Fee, than sign someone from abroad on money like Le Fee. That does our reputation as a club far more good.

I would hope he can yeah, I'm not totally sure he fits the ideal mould for Le Bris system but hes very gifted and gives 110%.

Ideally Neil steps up and continues to be a mainstay in our team but my worry was if he doesn't and you only bring in Hendo... It's not amazing depth for a crucial position.

agreed. I think Neil steps up and starts as captain. Remains to be seen if he adapts to the premier league but that’s the case for all the players

Le Bris is going to have to adapt a bit next season imo. I dont think we can go and play a low or mid block and survive. We will have to mix it up. There are going to be 12 or so home games where targeting 3 points is vital. In those games we will need to be more possession orientated. Counter attacking in the prem will be so much harder to do. Then there are probably 12 away games where we can target something too, where even a point will be a good outcome. A different style will be needed again.

I am really interested to see how he approaches the season tactically. Like our players he is stepping up to a level above what he has known so far. He is against coaches who in many cases have done much more. Like with our young lads I am excited to see how we does and I am quite confident he will thrive.
