What is all this unfounded villainisation (is that a word) of Mark Bellingham about? Bit of sour grapes? It’s a bit unbecoming.

You’re making up hypothetical scenarios and then getting upset/angry with him over them.
I think @JimHeron92 did have a bit of a run in with him to be fair. No idea on the other stuff though

I get your point. Feels all a bit Ian Harte-y.

he’s doing what he thinks is best for his son. Got no problem with that

I wouldn't say unfounded, I'm sure he can be quite charming but there aren't many glowing reviews that I hear.

I still can’t believe he’s available for that fee

I think most have given him credit for looking out for his boys, he’s clearly a successful businessman alongside the tongue in cheek comments. Of course we aren’t privy to all the details but it’s a message board there will be speculation and discussion.

wouldn’t be surprised if Mark has told the clubs we’ll be a pushover and now they’re finding we aren’t

he’ll have been in regular contact with Dortmund telling them not to worry about any release clause as when we don’t go up there is a gentleman’s agreement in place to let his son go for a cheaper fee.

Regis and the lads (including his son) have ****ed that right up for him, he’s lost face and now it’s playing out in the media….add in the fact you could see from his reaction that Jobe loves it here and has a chance for a shot at the premier league and things are clearly not happening as he’s planned for his younger son.

he’ll still go for an initial fee under the release clause with add ons getting us to the 40m, plus a generous sell on but this hasn’t gone as smoothly as his dad expected.

It’s not that, it’s just things I’ve heard personally and it seems @JimHeron92 has heard similar. Just if it’s to be believed he isn’t a nice bloke and he has had some very harsh words towards the people of Sunderland.

but aye may aswell leave it there

Can just assume they're rumours from now on, as long as he brokers a good deal for us and Jobe.

I know they are both relatively young but they are adults. I find it a bit weird how much control the parents have over them
I know what you mean but they've done alright for both of them so far. Seems like they want to stop Jobe making a decision with his heart and want to make it with their heads instead. Difficult to get my head completely around it, while looking through red and white glasses.

It's not a good look for us imo.

Mind you I shouldn't be suprised as all I've read online these past few days is how ****e our first team is and how they pretty much all need replacing
