I was getting at more of the fact that Dortmunds model isn’t to dissimilar to ours just on a completely different scale. They’ve had some huge deals in the past and wondering how they balance not standing in a players way (I don’t believe we are with Jobe) and getting value like Haaland, Sancho and Bellingham etc.
Bit of speculation here but it seems like the mighty mark has been hawking around the 25+5 to many German clubs knowing full well that was if we stayed in the championship.
I agree with you though. KLD in his first interview called people who still owned a decent % of the club asset strippers. He won't be arsed about relationships and it would probably save Speakmans relationship with the Bellinghams if he can just blame his boss

Wouldn't read too much into it. There was that price in the winter window as a championship club and we clearly want more now as a premier league club.

This. I want him gone now simply because he wants to go so we’ll nail a deal but I applaud KLD or whoever it is on this one because they are a case rich club and we want to be there with them. We won’t by caving in. Personally the sell on is the extra if want. They’ll make their killing from Real Madrid or city or similar for daft fees if he gets there and I’d like a healthy % if so.
I know we hate him but remember when Methven said we aspire to be like Dortmund, and I think that was a fair comment. Well here we ****ing are and it was no thanks to him.

That’s another thing he got wrong. We don’t aspire to be anyone. We have the Sunderland model, and there’s nobody doing it like we are.
