Never been sold on Seelt. Lad has had rotten luck, so harsh on me. Just feel moving up he wont be one for a matchday squad. Give the lad a chance to play elsewhere, maybe on loan
I think he was intended to be the Ballard replacement but has had terrible luck. There was significant interest in him when we signed him and from the little I’ve seen I think he has enough to at least be a top end championship centre half.

A quick recap of players we've been linked with so far, as I haven't been able to read the last 20+ pages:

-Jordan Henderson (Ajax)
-Joe Gomez (Liverpool, £20m)
-Wilfied Singo (Monaco)
-Max Johnston (Sturm Graz)
-Tommy Doyle (Wolves)

I'm sure I've missed a few.

What if they are all 25m first team starters

It's a conundrum isn't it.

Players attracting those kind of prices won't want to come as second fiddle to players who've never played in the PL ...

... and is it worth signing players who won't be better than what we have.

Loans will be critical this season and Sunderland, with Speakman and the coaches, are a place the big clubs respect.

So let him have the last word and ignore him ...

... or are you trying to dictate what people are allowed to post <laugh>
Here he is <laugh>

There’s only one bloke who wants to be dictating and have control of this board and I’m replying to him now

Anyway, back to the thread.

Absolutely not, the club aren’t daft they’ll know what’s needed or atleast have a better idea than us fans, we just need to enjoy the ride

(says me refreshing this thread all day everyday :emoticon-0102-bigsm)

I've barely posted today but come on and you're having yet another endless argument with someone.

You're usually quite keen to pull people up because of that ...

... anyway, carry on.

Haway lads can we keep it to transfers haha
Exactly what I’ve tried to do, some won’t be happy until I’m off here <laugh>

Speaking of transfers - I don’t hear very much but the same bloke who told me there was loads of foreign interest in Aouchiche last summer reckons Aleksic has plenty of loan interest. I definitely believe that

With 4-5 quality players in, rigg/mayneda/hume etc could be pushed to another level,, some players will step up I believe. Need more quality on the bench too. Don’t even know what aleksic snd abdouhalli will be like yet, like to see them in the championship
