The biggest thing we need to survive in the Premier League to me is to take with us the 'never say die' attitude. That alone is probably worth 6 to 10 points over the season. Keeping the bulk of the squad together will ensure this. Just have to be careful the players we bring in forgo their usually large ego's (thinking Chimbonda etc) and are playing for their team mates, fans and the club. I have every confidence in KLD, KS and RLB this will be the first thing ticked off when looking at new players. Exciting times ahead....HTL!!

PS I don't think Speakman even knows how many we'll bring in. The market is too unpredictable for that. We don't know how many will leave. We don't know if the type of player you can't say no to might make themselves available.

For instance I don't reckon we were necesarilly after Le Fee... he just became available and was too good an option to turn down. That could happen on the 30th August again.

So if Speakman doesn't know exactly how many, no journalist will.
I have the utmost respect for what KLD and Speakman have achieved since they came to the club , they have earned our trust to make difficult decisions concerning players being sold and bought and as I said in earlier posts Speakman has earned the club millions of pounds in player assets . As a management team we are absolutely a totally different beast compared to our recent past where we squandered millions of pounds buying substandard players , we need to be patient with KLD and Speakman while they assemble a newly promoted team in to a unit that can compete in the Premier League rather than the scattergun approach we are used to in our recent past . LET THEM GET ON WITH THEIR JOB .

Its his Saudi debacle which influences my judgement. I mean, his holier than thou act went totally out the window once the waft of notes went up one nostril and out the other. But add on the fact that before I was able to use a big fat Saudi stick to beat Town supporters with. Whatever they said? 'Well, at least we are not owned by the Saudi's'. In one foul swoop of a decision, Jordan stole my stick and handed me back a feather duster. If he signs for us he might as well take my feather duster as well.

Henderson taking the Saudi shilling, (which I disapproved of in a big way myself, especially the hypocrisy involved) , in no way detracts from the fact that that lot up there play for the honour of Bin Salman. They represent Saudi Arabia.

Nothing can change that fact, until the Saudis get sick of it all. Four more years I'd say.

Honestly I read Keith's tweet and thought it was positive. The 4-5 means quality editions not total. We've already signed one as it is. And Keith always underestimates. Last year I think he said 2-3 and we signed like 8.

He's said we're looking to break our transfer record. Great.

I don't think people need to over-react to it.
Reggie isn’t gonna use a 25 man squad anyway. Add 5 quality players to what we’ve got and we might just see more than 3 subs every once in a while:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Not much more than four years ago, we needed a very late winner to beat Shrewsbury.

Frankly, we have took off like a rocket, when you look at our squad, set up and so on compared to then . All done by the people still doing things. If anyone is going to get this right, it will be them.

We won't be bringing 10 in.

I think we will.

just think - we’re already at 1 with ELF.

Then we need to replace Jobe, Watson, Mepham and Salis.

that brings us to 5 already. And still has us with Poveda as Roberts’ back up and Hjelde as Cirkin’s. And that’s before we sell anybody else

signing 10 doesn’t mean the team gets entirely disrupted.

Aye signed 13 season just gone, they didn't seem very disrupted.

Regarding Hemir, I certainly won't be writing any of our young players off. The club has seen something in the lad and I trust our recruitment. He may just need more time, he's only a kid and had to settle in a foreign country...and then been loaned to another one.

Hope the lad comes through in a similar way to Mayenda. He will have seen his progress and hopefully has a point to prove.

I doubt we’ll see that but it’s certainly not impossible. Gyrokeres was poor at Brighton and ****e Nolan to Coventry. Most of their support were astonished they signed him but Robins saw something in him. An extra year could make all the difference for Hemir.
